Assessing Teaching and Learning Focus: A lesson may be well constructed but the goal of every educator should be ongoing assessments of the students' depth of understanding. In this session, educators will develop assessments at critical phases for a lesson they have created. The group will also explore the "Student Factor" in the teaching and learning dynamics, with the goal of giving educators efficient study habits they can pass on to the students.
The Game Factor Focus: Gamification is the process of taking game elements to move classroom instruction. These elements include incentives, immediate feedback, rewards, and more. Basically, gamification is the process of taking something that is not normally a game, and make it so. However, Game Based Learning has defend outcomes. GBL balances subject matter learning and game play with objectives of retaining and applying said subject matter in the real world.
