Foundations of Effective Teaching, Parts I and II -- This revised course empowers educators to become reflective practitioners through engaging online modules and interactive sessions. Explore best practices for fostering student agency, self-reflection, and deeper learning in a supportive environment. Develop your cultural competency, teacher efficacy, and self-care plan. 1.8 CEUs for Part I; 1.2 CEUs for Part 2.
Engaging Students' Long-Term Memory -- The greatest desire of educators is to have students retrieve information long after it has been taught. Research shows that information can easily be retrieved over a long period of time if lodged in the long-term memory. This SSS module probes research-based strategies to assist students in storing content in their long-term memory.

Students with Challenges -- In education, currency is a medium of exchange, and any behavior students use to acquire knowledge and skills functions as currency. However, students who are “wired” differently or face traumatic experiences may not possess this currency. This SSS module demonstrates how to meet students where they are to ensure success.

Reading Comprehension Instruction (recently changed from Foundations III due to scheduling conflicts) -- This course equips K-12 educators with research-based strategies to boost students' reading comprehension of all text types. Participants explore effective practices for teaching comprehension skills, from explicit instruction to self-monitoring techniques. Practical exercises and student work examples are included. 1.2 CEUs.
